Social media health-check
Social media for organisations - find out how these tools can help your communications. There are plenty of free resources available to all organisations (see below), and there are free workshops and an online health-check on offer to third sector infrastructure organisations in the East Midlands.
Online health-check for IOs
The Regional ICT Project is running a number of workshops over the next few months aimed at helping infrastructure organisations and
other support providers make the most of the Internet and explore how new
'social media' websites can help their work. As part of this, the Project
is offering a free on-line social media health-check to third sector infrastructure
organisations.
If you are interested in taking part, please see this online Social Media health-check
The health-check provides useful preparation for the social media workshops - and will help to determine where you are at with your current
understanding and use of social media. It will also help to ensure that the sessions:
- give a broad background to the subject without un-necessery depth
- are targetted at what you need to know
- answer specific questions you have
- give you the skills to be able to put ideas into practice
Social Media for Organisations
The Regional ICT Project is running a new series of free workshops to help infrastructure organisations make the most of social media websites and to be able to pass these ideas onto the groups and communities they support.
Workshop Topics
- What is social media
- How is it relevant to my work
- Examples of use by other infrastructure organisations
- Why it's important to have a social media plan
- Websites to help with communication, fundrasing, collaboration and productivity
- Ideas to improve effectiveness of your work and work with groups
